Mid-level Full Stack Developer

 

Position Overview: 

 

We are looking 2 x skilled Mid-level Full Stack Developers with expertise in Vue 3

and Laravel to join our development team. In this role, you will be responsible for

assisting in hotfixes, writing tests, and implementing new features across our web

applications. You will collaborate closely with the dev team and Head of Technology

to ensure high-quality, efficient, and reliable software solutions. This is an exciting

opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of our applications while

working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:


1. Assist in the timely resolution of hotfixes and critical issues in Vue 3 and

Laravel applications, ensuring quick response times and minimal disruption to

users.

2. Collaborate with the team to identify the root cause of issues, develop and

implement appropriate solutions, and thoroughly test the fixes.

3. Write comprehensive and effective unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end

tests to ensure the stability and reliability of the applications.

4. Contribute to the implementation of new features, from technical design to

coding, testing, and deployment.

5. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and

coding standards.

6. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies related to

Vue 3, Laravel, and software testing.

7. Continuously contribute to process improvement initiatives, suggesting ideas

to enhance development efficiency, code quality, and delivery speed.

 

As a Mid-level Full Stack developer, we’re looking for 3+ years of experience

and proficiency in both sets of requirements below.


Requirements for Vue:


1. Proficiency in Vue.js: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Vue.js,

including Vue 3, Vue Router, Vuex, and Vue CLI. Ability to develop dynamic

and responsive user interfaces using Vue components and templates. 

2. JavaScript and HTML/CSS: Solid understanding of core JavaScript concepts

and proficiency in HTML5 and CSS3. Familiarity with modern JavaScript

frameworks and libraries.

3. Vue.js Ecosystem: Knowledge of the Vue.js ecosystem, including Vue Router

for client-side routing, Vuex for state management, and Vue CLI for project

setup and development workflow.

4. Single-Page Applications (SPAs): Experience in building Single-Page

Applications using Vue.js, understanding concepts like routing, lazy loading,

and component-based architecture.

5. UI/UX Implementation: Ability to work closely with UI/UX designers to

implement visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces. Understanding of

responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.

6. API Integration: Proficiency in integrating with RESTful APIs and consuming

data from external sources. Knowledge of asynchronous programming and

handling API responses.

7. State Management: Familiarity with state management patterns and libraries

like Vuex to efficiently manage application state across components.

8. Testing: Knowledge of unit testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha, and

experience in writing test cases for Vue components and application logic.

9. Version Control: Proficiency in Git for version control, including branching,

merging, and resolving conflicts. Understanding of collaborative development

workflows using Git.

10. Performance Optimization: Ability to optimize Vue.js applications for

performance, including code splitting, lazy loading, and implementing caching

strategies.

11. Debugging and Troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability

to debug and troubleshoot issues efficiently, using browser developer tools

and Vue.js devtools.

12. Collaboration and Communication: Excellent communication skills and the

ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

13. Continuous Learning: A passion for staying updated with the latest trends,

best practices, and emerging technologies in frontend development,

specifically in the Vue.js ecosystem.


Requirements for PHP/Laravel:


1. Proficiency in PHP: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in PHP

programming language, including its core concepts, object-oriented

programming (OOP), and understanding of PHP frameworks.

2. Laravel Framework: Expertise in Laravel framework, including Laravel 8 or

higher versions. Proficiency in building RESTful APIs, implementing

authentication and authorization mechanisms, and working with Laravel's

ORM (Eloquent) for database interactions.

3. MySQL/Database Knowledge: Solid understanding of database concepts,

particularly with MySQL or other relational databases. Experience in

designing database schemas, writing efficient queries, and optimizing

database performance.

4. MVC Architecture: Understanding of the Model-View-Controller (MVC)

architectural pattern and its application within Laravel. Ability to design and

develop well-structured, modular, and scalable Laravel applications.

5. Version Control: Proficiency in Git for version control, including branching,

merging, and resolving conflicts. Understanding of collaborative development

workflows using Git.

6. Testing: Knowledge of unit testing frameworks like PHPUnit and experience in

writing test cases for Laravel applications. Understanding of test-driven

development (TDD) principles and ability to ensure code coverage through

automated tests.

7. API Integration: Proficiency in integrating with third-party APIs and consuming

external services within Laravel applications. Understanding of authentication

mechanisms, request/response handling, and error handling in API

integrations.

8. Security Best Practices: Awareness of common web application security

vulnerabilities and best practices for securing Laravel applications, including

input validation, CSRF protection, and secure authentication.

9. Performance Optimization: Ability to optimize Laravel applications for

performance, including query optimization, caching strategies, and leveraging

Laravel's caching mechanisms.

10. Documentation: Strong documentation skills to document code, APIs, and

technical specifications. Ability to write clear and concise documentation to

facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing.

11. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to

identify and resolve issues in Laravel applications. Ability to debug and

troubleshoot errors efficiently.

12. Collaboration and Communication: Excellent communication skills and the

ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

13. Continuous Learning: A passion for staying updated with the latest trends,

best practices, and emerging technologies in PHP, Laravel, and web

development.
