Site Engineer
Bolt.Earth is a new-age startup focused on enabling cleaner mobility across emerging markets. Since our inception, we have installed over 36,000 charging points across 1,400+ cities in India, serving 207,000+ active users and dispensing 2,300MWh+ of energy. Our reliable and efficient network supports the growing number of EVs on the road.
We offer a comprehensive range of Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 chargers to cater to every vehicle type and need, breaking down barriers to EV ownership. Our user-friendly mobile app allows EV users to easily locate, book, and pay for charging stations, providing real-time data on availability, usage patterns, and costs.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Recce and Assessment :
  • Visit potential sites for EV charging station installations.
  • Conduct site surveys and gather necessary data for the installation.
  • Prepare detailed recce reports, including electrical infrastructure, space availability, and charger positioning.
BOQ, SLD, Preparation :
  • Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for electrical infrastructure and charger installation.
  • Develop and finalize Single Line Diagrams (SLD) for electrical systems.
  • Interpret CAD drawings related to electrical infrastructure such as transformer setups, cabling, switchgear, and panel arrangements.
  • Ensure the technical accuracy of drawings and documentation in coordination with internal and external teams.
Client Coordination :
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients regarding project requirements and progress.
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure that their requirements are met in line with technical feasibility.
  • Regularly update clients on project milestones and resolve any issues that arise.
Project Execution :
  • Lead the installation and commissioning of EV chargers, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
  • Supervise on-site teams to ensure smooth execution of projects.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
  • Bachelor's or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in project management, site supervision, or installation of electrical infrastructure, preferably in EV charging or renewable energy.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including low-voltage power distribution, transformers, cabling, and switchgear.
  • Proficiency in preparing and interpreting CAD drawings, BOQs, SLDs, and GAD files related to electrical infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with clients and lead project teams.
  • Strong project management and leadership abilities.
  • Knowledge of transformer setups, cabling, switchgear, and electrical power distribution systems.
  • Ability to prepare technical documents such as BOQs, SLDs, GADs, and recce reports.
  • Knowledge of EV charging station technology and electrical infrastructure.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
