Job DescriptionWe’re hiring We’re looking for a smart, innovative BI Engineer to join our team and shape Pargo into a leading data-driven business. Join us and be part of a fast-growing business that is disrupting the ecommerce delivery landscape in South Africa.

What you will be doingYou will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of BI tooling used to report on and analyze Pargo’s business intelligence data. You will be collaborating with the data team and business stakeholders to create dashboards and reports, and provide insights as requested.Your responsibilities:

Collaborate with a distributed team to create dashboards and KPIs to show the business performance to managementCollaborate with data engineer to create specifications for new data structures and ETL pipelinesBuild various data visualizations to tell the story of trends, patterns, and outliersEnsure data accuracy by validating data for new and existing toolsModify existing reports, extracts, dashboards and cubes as necessaryCollect, analyze and share data to help make strategic product decisionsOwn the design and development of automated solutions for recurring reporting and in-depth analysis

Requirements Someone who is aligned to our values and approach and:Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or information systems or related fieldExperience in a BI or Data Visualization role advantageousExperience with SQL, SQL Server, ETL, SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS software, systems, and programsExperience with Python, redSHIFT, Cloud, TSQL, and R language software and systemsExperience with data visualization tools like Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik, etcFluent in statistics, datasets, and scriptingComfortable making decisions and managing stakeholdersA problem solver and critical thinkerFamiliar with version control and relational databasesBased in Cape Town and can be in our office in Cape Town City Centre for 2-3 days a week
