Manager - Applications Development
What can you expect?
The incumbent will be actively involved in identifying and delivering advanced technology opportunities based on Generative AI, New AI models, Chatbot etc. He/ She will also be expected to contribute and improve the delivery methodology and practice keeping pace with the market and new technologies.
The Innovation & AI team works on cutting edge technologies and design innovative business solutions to deliver business value across global businesses and practices for Mercer and Marsh McLennan.
The incumbent will be designing, developing, and deploying Web and AI solutions that meet the needs and expectations of the clients and the users. Building awareness around the challenges and the best practices that are involved in working with AI and striving to overcome them and improve their skills. Additionally, you should have knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, and tools such as Git, Docker, and Jupiter Notebook.
The incumbent is expected to be familiar with the following areas:
Web Application Development – Develop and maintain web applications using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Angular and other technologies.
API Development - Develop rest APIs with right set of guardrails using NestJS, NodeJS, Python and other technologies.
Machine learning: the process of creating and training models that can learn from data and make predictions or decisions.
Deep learning: a subset of machine learning that uses neural networks to perform complex tasks such as image recognition, natural language processing, and speech synthesis.
Natural language processing: the field of AI that deals with understanding and generating natural language, such as text and speech.
Computer vision: the field of AI that deals with analyzing and interpreting visual information, such as images and videos.
Reinforcement learning: a type of machine learning that involves learning from trial and error by interacting with an environment and receiving rewards or penalties.
Data science: the practice of collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and visualizing data to gain insights and solve problems.

We will count on you to:
Develop and maintain web applications using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Angular, NestJS, NodeJS, and other technologies.
Design, implement, and test novel artificial intelligence models and algorithms that can learn from diverse and complex data sources and perform multiple tasks across different domains.
Deploying and maintaining the model in production and ensuring its reliability and scalability.
Collaborate with other engineers, researchers, and domain experts to identify and define general intelligence problems and solutions.
Conduct experiments and evaluations to measure and improve the performance, robustness, and scalability of general artificial intelligence systems.
Stay updated on the latest developments and trends in artificial intelligence research and applications.

Communicate and document the results and insights of general artificial intelligence projects to internal and external stakeholders.
What you need to have:
Technical Knowledge/ Expertise
At least 5 years of experience as a full stack developer or similar role and 3+ years of experience in AI
Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one modern framework (e.g. Angular, NestJS, NodeJS)
proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R and SQL/ NOSQL databases
Known to frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, Scikit-learn, and NLTK.
Knowledge of web development tools such as Git, Webpack, NPM, or Babel
Experience with databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or Firebase
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Knowledge of conversational system development
Experience with developing AI models.
General Skills:
Excellent presentation skills – Experience in creating design and technical specification documents and presentation to team and stakeholders.
Effective influencing, facilitation, and negotiation skills
Conflict resolution - Must be able to facilitate discussion and alternatives or different approaches.
Highly detail oriented by nature.
Assertive – Ability to confidently put forward views in diverse groups.
Enthusiastic – Must be high-energy.
Good communication and negotiation skills
What makes you stand out?
BTech/ MCA degree
Strong knowledge of artificial intelligence concepts, techniques, and tools, such as neural networks, reinforcement learning, natural language processing, computer vision, knowledge representation, and reasoning.
Prior experience in working with AI/ ML and Deep Learning models.
