Role & responsibilities

  • Prepare a wide variety of goods such as Japanese , Teppanyaki , sushi, sashimi, ramen etc.
  • Arrange and garnish dishes.
  • Monitor food stock and place orders.
  • Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items.
  • Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.
  • Train the auxiliary kitchen staff in order to provide best results in minimum time and using at the maximum the available resources.
  • Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other personnel to plan and develop recipes and menus.
  • Estimate food requirements and food/labor costs.
  • Responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes, creating menu items, recipes, and developing dishes that will delight our customers with their taste and timely delivery.


Preferred candidate profile

  • Proven experience as a Japanese Cuisine / Teppanyaki Chef.
  • Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Knowledge of best cooking practices.
  • Culinary school diploma.
  • Should have 5 to 7 years experience
  • Experience in Japanese cuisine is a must, as well as a deep understanding of ingredients, procedures, and presentation
