Senior Web Designer

Cvent is looking for a UI Designer with excellent aesthetic, design sense and great communication skills to create client’s Event websites on the Cvent Content Management system.The person should be an SME and must have good communication skills (both verbal and written) to be able to communicate and understand requirements with overseas clients independently. Who can act as a project manager to brief/provide download of the project to other designers and get them completed flawlessly.The person should be willing to work in the night shift (US hours) and must have a zeal to perform in a fast-paced environment along with willingness to thrive for an award-winning career.Role and responsibilitiesThe personnel would take full responsibilities to/for:Past-experience working directly with the customers in a creative or development capacityAct as a Design Consultant,a perfect combination of designer and customer handlingmaintain a professional and collaborative relationship with customers for each assigned projectCollaborate with the Creative Team to manage, design, and execute the building of event themes (webpage, email templates, forms, sharecards, virtual event pages, sessions pages, confirmations) for our broad and varied client baseMost importantly, the Creative Designer role requires high-level experience with and understanding of design principles: hierarchy, typography, color, sizing, layout, and accessibility standards, as well as the ability to craft and manipulate CSS and JavaScript code to append the Cvent Content Management System.Innovate on best practices and building standards, and assure brand consistency across multiple projects and brandsCoordinate across Creative, Professional Services, Product, and Development teams to achieve high quality resultsFacilitate training sessions for our customers on Event Design best practices (format and script provided)Use creative problem-solving skills to develop detailed processes which assist the creation of comprehensive design solutions that bring people together, engage, delight, and inspireManage and track simultaneous projects and tasks effectively and deliver assignments on timeConduct design research, develop new services, and use design thinking to solve problemsCore Competencies and Skill SetsTechnical Proficiency - Proficient understanding of web/mobile design, UX/UI principles and accessibilityGood-to-have - Ability to craft and manipulate HTML, CSS and JavaScript codeProven Success - A referenceable track record of success as an experienced designer at a SaaS or enterprise software company or a web agencyContinuous Improvement - A zeal for continuous improvement in how we support our customers, communities, and employeesCustomer Experience – Past-experience working directly with customers in a creative or development capacityIndustry Enthusiast - Current knowledge of industry trends in traditional and web designCommunication - An eye for identifying and removing friction from the customer collaboration process (e.g. writing clear and organized communications, ability to articulate rationale behind design decisions and how they support the customer brand and use case)Teamwork - Reaches out to peers and cooperates with supervisors to establish an overall collaborative working relationshipJob QualificationsBachelor’s degree is a mustPreference would be given to candidates holding Bachelor’s degree in multimedia/web/graphic design/Applied Art or similar coursesExperience interfacing directly with clients and excellent written communication skillsExcellent problem-solving skillsExperience taking ownership of complex projects and producing successful outcomesExperience with HTML, CSS, JavaScriptHands-on Cvent (Splash) experience a major plus
