About Sustainability and Business Advisory

Within this vertical, we work with investors such as DFIs, impact funds and PE/VCs, enterprises and corporates across different facets of sustainability and ESG - broadly covering environment & climate, gender, decent work, circularity. We work across research, strategy and implementation in a variety of sectors including financial services, healthcare, agri-tech, real estate etc.

The Opportunity

As an Analyst, your analytical skills, interpersonal communication, commitment to impact and collaborative skills will be called upon from day one for our Sustainability and Business  Advisory team. You will be expected to have positive relationships with clients and work closely with multiple teams to deliver solutions enabling high impact on the ground. You will be required to solve problems using adequate research and consulting frameworks. This includes both quantitative and qualitative research which is done by analyzing given data and gaining insights through interviews with stakeholders. It will ensure gaining a broad knowledge base that cuts across sectors and geographies while driving the core of every project’s work. 

You will begin as a generalist and be placed in the thick of action, you’ll begin to specialise in one or more practice areas guided every step of the way by Sattva mentors and specific training programs you may need.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Define the problem for the team to enable the development of the solution and recommendations to meet project goals and have an eye for detail to keep track of multiple workstreams

• Engage in discussions with internal team members, customers, community on the ground, and other stakeholders like investors. Ask probing questions to gain an in-depth understanding of the situations, problems on the ground and execute programs to achieve the desired outcomes

• Communicate effectively with the client and key stakeholders in a timely manner to share regular updates, minutes, and progress. Work closely with the PMO to manage the project and ensure its KPIs are met and build a trusted relationship with partner organizations

• Understand client needs and respond to their questions and strengthen project governance and manage/ mitigate the risks. 

• Implement/ support the implementation of projects on the ground and validate the hypotheses in different contexts to constantly refine the program strategy 

• Document and prepare key project artefacts such as project plan, project governance decks, regular communication documents with clients and follow a detailed work plan and be diligent in internal and external governance

• Build a trusted relationship with partner organizations and take initiative and ownership to come up with ideas and solve for impactful execution

• Conduct rigorous qualitative and quantitative research through both secondary and primary data collection and build insights 

• Support the team in building project deliverables (research reports, decks, strategy documents, etc.)

We are looking for individuals who align with our vision and have the following profile: 

• 0-2 years of professional experience in consulting, project management, stakeholder management in corporate, social enterprises, consulting firms or investment and audit firms, development agencies (preferable) 

• Efficiently balances project deadlines with rigorous quality standards, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work products

• Skilled in written and verbal  communication and creating engaging presentations, effectively conveying complex information.

• Skilled in data analysis, using various tools to create clear visual representations for informed decision-making and problem-solving.

• Demonstrates expertise in ESG frameworks and their application to drive sustainability initiatives and positive social impact within organizations.
