Job Description
We are seeking an experienced L3 Onsite Network Resource to join our Professional Services team. This individual will be responsible for the design, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on routing and switching technologies, network security, and performance optimization. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with BGP, OSPF, static routing, Fortigate firewalls, and enterprise network monitoring tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, focusing on BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) and static routing, including static default routing.Implement switching technologies, such as Nexus vPC, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), and Hot Standby Router Protocol (HSRP), to ensure network redundancy and reliability.Set up, manage, and troubleshoot routing protocols, including OSPF (Open Shortest Path First) and BGP.Utilize prefix-lists and route maps to manage routing paths effectively.Configure and maintain Fortigate Firewalls, ensuring optimal network security and data protection.Network Troubleshooting and Monitoring:Diagnose and resolve network issues promptly to maintain high network performance and minimize downtime.Use network monitoring tools to track network performance, proactively address potential issues, and ensure consistent availability.
Skills and Qualifications:
Strong experience with routing technologies, specifically BGP, OSPF, and static/default routing.
Proficiency in switching technologies, including Nexus vPC, Spanning Tree Protocol, and HSRP.
Familiarity with network configurations using prefix-lists and route maps.
Proven troubleshooting skills and experience in resolving network performance and connectivity issues.
Experience in configuring and maintaining Fortigate Firewalls.
Knowledge and experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, or similar tools).
Strong understanding of routing logic, network design, and best practices in network security.
Preferred Skills:
Network certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE or equivalent
Knowledge of additional security protocols and experience with enterprise-level network architecture, especially CISCO routing and switching.
