CCNA Certified Minimum

With experience and knowledge of Cisco routing and switching, Cisco network engineers install, maintain, and configure Cisco networks.

Technical issues include network-related problems, system failures, and routing changes and updates.

Working extensively with Cisco network software, Cisco network engineers are familiar with design, support, and deployment of Cisco products

Troubleshooting network problems and outages, Cisco network engineers locate problem areas, isolating them for solutions

Consult clients and customers to ensure that their needs are met; customer service skills are essential to building rapport with customers

Network engineers should have experience troubleshooting Layer One network connectivity and also understand Layer Two, Three, and Four switching

Handled escalations and resolved technical issues according to SLA

Performed IOS upgrades on various models of IP Internetworking layer 2/3 switches

Maintain on-site inventory of all need equipment for project.

Enabled routing on routers , OSPF , RIP, EIGRP, BGP, apply ACL, PPP, wireless VPN

Responsible for cabling connections through patch panels

Technical knowledge of routing protocols such as RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP

Provided technical support and troubleshooting on various Cisco products including Routers, Switches, IP Phones

Strong skills onto build and manage Network performance monitoring tool-Netscout along with Phython scripting knowledge

  • Build service and business transaction tests in NetScout probe, Netscout Pulse based on requests (Python)
  • Build and monitor dashboards
  • Build and ensure voice call tests are running and available
  • Define and configure alerts from Pulse (actionable)
  • Work with Ops team to acknowledge and troubleshoot alerts
  • Work with other IT teams for specific alerts (e.g. if we identify a server problem in a SaaS environment, notify and work with the appropriate teams to resolve it)
  • Maintain overall environment
  • Participate in NetScout beta testing as necessary
  • Over time, participate in movement of Pulse server infrastructure to AWS
  • Track and prepare case studies where we were able to resolve business or network problems with Pulse
  • Working with teams to track ‘before and after’ performance data (e.g. from upgrades, system changes etc.)
