About the role

Neurowise Academy is seeking a highly motivated Specialist educator to join our dedicated team supporting students with Specific learning difficulties across India. As a Specialist educator, you will play a crucial and contributory role in delivering Neurowise Academy’s course curriculum to schools, colleges, and universities, empowering educators to create inclusive learning environments that cater to the unique needs of students with Specific learning difficulties.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Educational Psychologist and the project team to implement Neurowise Academy's comprehensive support program for students with Specific learning difficulties
  • Contribute to delivering engaging and informative training sessions, workshops, and courses to educators, equipping them with the knowledge and strategies to support students with Specific learning difficulties effectively
  • Provide on-going guidance, support, and mentoring to teachers, ensuring the successful implementation of inclusive teaching practices
  • Assist in the development and adaptation of teaching materials and resources to meet the specific needs of students with Specific learning difficulties
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the implemented strategies, providing feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Maintain accurate records of training sessions, progress, and outcomes
  • Contribute to the expansion of the project across different states in India, ensuring consistency and quality of services
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and technological advancements in the field of Specific learning difficulties and inclusive education.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to take on new challenges as Neurowise Academy grows and evolves
  • Maintain regular communication with the Educational Psychologist, the founder, and other team members, providing updates on project progress, challenges, and achievements
  • Invest in Neurowise Academy as a long-term team member, contributing to the organisation's growth and success


Requirements

  • Indian resident with a valid work permit
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field from a recognised Indian, US or UK university
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Specialist educator or in a similar role, supporting students with Specific learning difficulties in India
  • Experience delivering effective training sessions and workshops to educators
  • Good knowledge of Specific learning difficulties, inclusive teaching strategies, and evidence-based interventions
  • Strong understanding of the Indian education system and the challenges faced by students with Specific learning difficulties
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in English and at least one Indian language.
  • Willingness to travel across India and work with different educational establishments as the project expands.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and empowering students with diverse needs.
  • Adaptability and openness to embrace new challenges and opportunities as Neurowise Academy evolves
  • A passion for working with charitable organisations and making a positive impact on society

Salary and Working Hours

The salary for this position is competitive and will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications. The typical working hours are 37 hours per week, with some flexibility to accommodate project requirements and ensure success.
