  • 1-2 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, HR or Operations roles
  • Fresh MBA graduates or individuals with up to 1 year of experience in HR

Responsibilities:

  • Directly collaborate with Merlin’s founders to execute HR strategies & Operational tasks.
  • HR Strategies & Talent acquisition
  • Crafting job descriptions
  • Managing Employee Onboarding and Equipment Management
  • Manage the procurement of essential technology gadgets for new joiners.
  • Facilitating interviews and evaluation
  • Managing appraisals, exit formalities, reimbursements, etc.
  • Organise and oversee weekly brunches, and annual team outings.
  • Ensure a smooth onboarding process with all necessary office supplies.
  • Managing job portals (as of now we only use slack for internal communication and Razorpay for salary processing)
  • Reaching out to elite candidates for applications


  •  Operations Tasks
  • Facilitate communication between management and staff about operational updates and HR policies.
  • Use internal communication tools to keep the team informed and engaged.
  • Regularly monitor and ensure adherence to the established Code of Conduct and Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) norms.
  • Oversee document organisation and management, ensuring all company paperwork is maintained with the highest standards of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate company events and manage employee engagement programs to cultivate a dynamic and supportive work environment.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the founders and team members, ensuring clear communication and swift resolution of queries and issues.
  • Develop and implement efficient office management systems to optimise organisational productivity.
  • Oversee inventory of office essentials and place orders as needed to ensure the office is well-stocked.


Requirements:

  • MBA, Bachelors in Technology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated interest in HR, Office Management, or Event planning through past academic or extracurricular activities
  • Strong foundational knowledge in HR practices & compliance
  • Willingness to take initiative and lead projects with minimal supervision.
  • Commitment to professional growth and excellence in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • At least 2 peak experiences (non-exhaustive list of examples provided below, two of these can be good for a shortlist)
  • PPO at a reputed MnC or Startup
  • Internship at a reputed MnC or Startup
  • Major national or state awards / recognition
  • High CGPA in undergrad or MBA
  • Legitimate startup founding experience
  • Legitimate social work experience
  • International internships at reputed universities
  • Research paper at top international journals
  • Major convocation awards (gold medalist / director medalists)
  • Major hobbies (ex: skilled journalist, national /international debater, etc)

  • Maths and Data Proficiency:  
  • Basic mathematical skills and proficiency in data management tools like MS Office, particularly Excel and Sheets. Ability to analyse and interpret data effectively.
