This is how we at Pratt & Whitney approach our work, and therefore we are inspired to go beyond.What are our expectations:We are looking for a DES Quality Specialist who will be monitoring the QMS compliance of Canada and ICC sites.You will be responsible for:Support the management of the quality assurance program.Support the management of internal and external audits.Support the document management systems associated with the quality assurance program.Develop procedures that ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.Serve as a training coordinator between Canada and ICC.What your day to day will look like:Establishing and maintaining an AS9100 compliant QMS process infrastructure, working with other departments, functions, and businesses as needed to ensure and maintain overall compliance.Act as internal consultant for AS9100/QMS questions, issues, and concerns.Conduct and/or lead the Internal Quality Audit.Manage audit findings and implement Corrective Action Plans & Preventive Action.Conducts training related to AS9100 requirements, Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action and required procedures.Control and maintain the skill matrix for Canada and ICC teams. Identifies and communicate skill gaps to the responsible business leaders.Ability to interact with all business units including higher levels within P&WC.Performs other duties as required to develop and drive the business forward.The tools you need to be successful:Bachelor’s degree in engineering/quality management.Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a manufacturing industry preferably with Quality, Engineering or Production.With knowledge and experience in the implementation of Quality Systems standards like AS9100.With knowledge and experience in the use of Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement tools and techniques.Strong analysis and problem-solving skills. Coaching and facilitation ability.Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Proven skills in the areas of initiative, individual leadership, teamwork, collaboration, and facilitation.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) required.Experience with PFMEA/DFMEA techniques and PPAP an asset.
