Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Production Manager to join our dynamic production team in Mumbai. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the logistical, financial, and operational aspects of production from pre-production through to delivery. The person will manage all aspects of production, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning & Coordination:

  • Develop and manage comprehensive production schedules, ensuring all timelines and deadlines are met.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of production, including location scouting, talent coordination, equipment procurement, and crew management.
  • Collaborate with directors, producers, and other senior team members to align on production goals and creative vision.
  • Plan and coordinate logistics for travel, accommodation, and permits for all cast and crew members.

Budget Management:

  • Create and manage detailed production budgets, ensuring accurate allocation of resources and expenditures.
  • Track and monitor all financial transactions throughout the production process, reporting any budget discrepancies to senior management.
  • Negotiate with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to secure competitive rates and quality resources for the production.

Team Leadership & Management:

  • Lead, guide, and support a team of production assistants, coordinators, and other production staff.
  • Ensure effective communication between all departments to promote collaboration and resolve any operational issues.
  • Mentor junior staff and help build a cohesive, efficient production team.

Risk Management & Problem Solving:

  • Proactively identify potential risks and obstacles in the production process and develop contingency plans.
  • Address any issues that arise during the shoot, from technical difficulties to personnel challenges, ensuring minimal disruption to the production schedule.
  • Maintain a calm, solution-oriented approach under pressure.

Compliance & Legal Management:

  • Ensure adherence to all legal, health, safety, and industry regulations during the production process.
  • Oversee contracts for crew, talent, and vendors, ensuring all agreements are in place before production begins.

Reporting & Communication:

  • Report to the Founders & Executive Producers, providing regular updates on production status, milestones, and financials.
  • Maintain detailed records of all production activities, including schedules, budgets, contracts, and crew communications.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Media, or a related field. Advanced certifications or training in production management will be a plus.

Experience:

  • At least 8-10 years of experience in production management, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior line producer or similar role.
  • Extensive experience in overseeing large-scale television, film, or digital productions.
  • Proven track record of managing complex budgets and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of production equipment, software, and industry best practices.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, logistics, and financial oversight.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
