Role Overview:  

The Training and Development Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing training programs to support the Secure by Design initiative within the Cyber Resilience Programme. This role requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles and the ability to translate complex technical information into comprehensive training materials. The Training and Development Specialist will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure all personnel have the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively implement and maintain secure systems.  


Requirements

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Training Program Development:  

  • Design and develop comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs of the Secure by Design initiative.  

  • Create training materials, including manuals, e-learning modules, workshops, and webinars.  

  • Training Delivery:  

  • Conduct training sessions for various audiences, including technical staff, project managers, and stakeholders.  

  • Use a variety of training methodologies to accommodate different learning styles and levels of technical expertise.  

  • Assessment and Evaluation:  

  • Develop assessment tools to measure the effectiveness of training programs.  

  • Evaluate training outcomes and make recommendations for improvements.  

  • Provide regular reports on training activities and outcomes to senior management.  

  • Stakeholder Engagement:  

  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to identify training needs and objectives.  

  • Act as the primary point of contact for training-related queries and support.  

  • Continuous Improvement:  

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in cybersecurity and training.  

  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance training effectiveness and efficiency.  

  • Documentation and Reporting:  

  • Maintain comprehensive records of all training activities, materials, and participant feedback.  

  • Provide detailed reports on training progress and impact to senior management.  

 

Essential Skills and Experience:  

  • Education and Experience:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, Training, Cybersecurity, or a related field.  

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in designing and delivering training programs, preferably in cybersecurity or IT.  

  • Technical Skills:  

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, practices, and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).  

  • Proficiency in using e-learning platforms and tools.  

  • Experience with instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles.  

  • Interpersonal Skills:  

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.  

  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
