Requirements – Supplier Quality Engineer

Requirement

Bachelor in Mechanical engineering.At least five years’ experience in manufacturing in supplier development, supplier quality, and process quality in Forging, Machining, and Stamping parts.At least three years of experience in a similar position.Certified auditor of VDA 6.3 and first experience as a 2nd party auditor.Knowledge about IATF16949.Knowledge of AIAG and VDA automotive core tools.Strong knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)Knowledge about GD&T, specially Envelope requirement.Experience using Six Sigma techniques and Six sigma green belt certification.Broad technical knowledge as well as a target and problem-solving-oriented work styleIndependent work style, responsible work behavior, team player, and interdisciplinary thinkingBusiness-fluent English language skills, further language skills desirableUp to 50% travel required

ResponsibilityAssessment and approval of suppliers and supplier production processes.Perform Supplier VDA 6.3 potential audits, supplier VDA 6.3 process audits & define development actions.Planning and assuring the quality of purchased parts by applying quality methods. (e.g. APQP, PPAP)Perform process, risk and quality audits at suppliers, including development, implementation, tracking, and monitoring of the effectiveness of supplier corrective actionsProblem-solving tracking (e.g. 8D method, Pareto, lessons learned …)Active contribution in teams to develop and implement supplier strategiesTeam work with purchasing, project teams, plants, and central functionsSupport of preparation, review, and release of Quality agreements with suppliersSupplier visits/meetings (including travel as needed)Internal and external reporting including related activitiesCollaboration in projects and documentation/presentation of results
