Job Title: Dean – Academic AffairsLocation: Kala Amb, Himachal PradeshInstitution: Himalayan Group of Professional Institutions (HGPI)Type: Full-Time | On-Campus | Senior Leadership RoleAbout HGPIThe Himalayan Group of Professional Institutions (HGPI) , established under Maa Saraswati Educational Trust , is one of North India’s leading educational conglomerates offering programs in Engineering, Pharmacy, Nursing, Law, Management, and Education .With affiliations to Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU) , Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) , and approvals from apex bodies such as AICTE , PCI , BCI , and NCTE , HGPI is dedicated to excellence in teaching, research, and innovation.We are expanding our academic leadership team and invite dynamic and visionary academicians to join us as Dean – Academic Affairs to lead the institution’s academic direction and quality-assurance framework.Position OverviewThe Dean of Academic Affairs will serve as the chief academic officer responsible for academic policy, program quality, faculty development, and academic planning across HGPI’s multiple constituent institutions.The ideal candidate will be a senior academician with a strategic mindset, proven leadership skills, and deep understanding of higher-education standards, accreditation processes, and regulatory frameworks.Eligibility CriteriaEducational Qualification:Ph.D. degree in any discipline (preferably in Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Law, or related professional field).Post-graduate qualification with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade from a recognized university.Experience:Minimum 15 years of teaching and administrative experience in higher-education institutions, including 5 years in an academic leadership role (Dean/Director/Principal/Head).Knowledge:Strong familiarity with AICTE, PCI, BCI, NCTE, and UGC norms and NAAC accreditation processes.Experience in curriculum design, academic audits, research promotion, and faculty performance evaluation .Key ResponsibilitiesLead academic planning, curriculum development, and policy formulation across all colleges under HGPI.Ensure compliance with all regulatory and affiliating-university requirements.Foster a culture of research, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.Mentor Heads of Departments and coordinate academic scheduling, examinations, and audits.Supervise faculty recruitment, training, appraisal, and performance metrics.Implement quality-assurance mechanisms, learning outcomes, and institutional benchmarks.Coordinate with external academic bodies, universities, and government authorities.Promote student-centric learning environments and academic excellence initiatives.Desired Skills & AttributesVisionary academic leadership and strategic decision-making.Excellent communication and organizational abilities.Strong analytical and documentation skills.Proven ability to inspire faculty and uphold institutional integrity.CompensationSalary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications, as per UGC/AICTE norms .Performance-based incentives and accommodation may be offered for deserving candidates.Application ProcessInterested candidates are requested to submit:A detailed CV/ResumeStatement of academic vision and leadership philosophy (500 words)Copies of degrees, experience certificates, and research credentialsEmail your application to: Application Deadline: Open until filledAbout the RoleThis is a strategic academic leadership position at HGPI, offering the opportunity to contribute to the advancement of multidisciplinary higher education in Himachal Pradesh and beyond.
