Job Description

* Work closely with the APAC and EM Credit Team investment professionals, (the "IPs"), supporting them
in all stages of originating, structuring and executing structured finance transactions, including
preparation and maintenance of financial models (both historical and forecast models)
* Assist in the preparation of pitch decks and monthly transaction updates.
* Have some familiarity with the impact of both macroeconomic and political factors on emerging markets
and APAC structured finance investments. Report these events to the IP (as they occur, or in catch-up
calls with the IP).
* Prepare performance update emails and reports for all structured finance transactions held in the APAC
and EM Credit portfolios.
* Assist the IP in the preparation of credit approval memoranda, both for new credits and for periodic
credit reviews. Process information across monthly deal updates, issuer update calls, and industry
research reports to produce such credit memos.
* Maintain transaction pipeline files and generate reports and presentations.
* Coordinating with EM sector analysts in New York, London, Singapore and Hong Kong as well as the
NESCO analysts supporting them
* Assist the IP in the preparation of power point presentations for new deal screening meetings and for
investment committee approval meetings.
* Relative value analysis - assist in maintaining relative value files comprising comparisons of pricing
across structured finance transactions.
* Issuer and transaction diligence - attend due diligence calls with LPs.
* Monitor periodic transaction performance reports, identifying trends and potential issues.
* Gather and maintain data on ABS market activity in the geographies concerned.
* Other presentation support, on an ad hoc basis.

The Successful Applicant

* 3+ years' experience in structured finance, ideally at a major international investment bank
* Knowledge of basic structured finance instruments, including residential mortgage-backed securities and
asset-backed securities backed by credit card receivables, auto loans, unsecured consumer loans or
student loans.
* Proficient communication skills
* Ability to analyse portfolio loan tapes, verifying data consistency and generating stratifications. Ability to assess risk parameters of portfolios, deriving loss assumptions from historical performance.
* Financial Modelling skills required. (Excel skills required; Intex skills preferred)
* Computer Skills: Excel, power point required, experience using Bloomberg, CAP IQ desirable.
* Master's Degree and/or CFA desirable but not mandatory depending on work experience.
