Senior ESD Engineer NRIs Return to INDIA

- ConductESD/LUP research and experiments to investigate how to designin thebest ESD and latchup design and layout solutions that minimizeproduct defects due to electrostatic discharge (ESD) or latchup(LUP) events.
- Design ESD test structures tofully evaluate the high current and voltage properties of the ESDIO input or power clamps circuits.
- Assess thefundamental ESD properties of each type of ESD circuit elementsfrom active diffusions to BEOL metal layers by wafer leveltransmission line pulse (TLP and vfTLP) measurements to developonchip protection from ESD and or LUP events.
- Analyze ESD and latchup (LUP) test structure data andgenerate ESD/LUP design rules and Guidelines.
- Develop and expand the ESD and latchup circuit modelsbased of the measured ESD data.
- Supervise andarrange fullchip ESD design review process (Schematic andPathfinder analysis) for each design prior to tapeout.
- Apply Pathfinder type ESD current density and resistanceverification tool to ensure full die layout meet all ESD designrule requirements.
- Lead and coordinate firstsilicon ESD and latchup design validation tests and perform rootcause ESD and LUP analysis as vital to ensure that product meetsMicrons minimum qualification requirements.
- Continually improve product design and reliability byintroducing innovative ESD designs.
Successful candidates forthis position will have:
- Aproven understanding of advanced semiconductor device physicsincluding deep submicron CMOS devices.
- A goodunderstanding of groundbreaking CMOS process technology andelectrical circuit analysis.
- Experience inCadence design tools for design layout and verificationtools.
- Handson experience in ESDcharacterization analysis using wafer level transmission line pulse(TLP) test equipment.
- Experience waveformgenerators oscilloscopes source/measure units Agilent and/orKeithley parametric analyzers/testers and impedanceanalyzers.
- Familiarity with ESD analysis toolslike PERC or PathFinder or similar software tools.
- Strong data analysis skills are required to extract thehigh current ESD properties and develop ESD/Latchup design rulesfor critical ESD circuits.
- Strong oral andwritten communication skills are required to provide ESD/LUPtechnical leadership with diverse worldwide teams in Design ProductEngineering R&D characterization and Quality Assuranceteams.
MinimumQualifications:
- A BSElectrical Engineering Microelectronics with 35 years of experienceOR
- A MS in Electrical EngineeringMicroelectronics with 2 years of experience OR
- A Ph.D. in Electrical EngineeringMicroelectronics
PreferredQualifications:
- AnMS/Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering Microelectronics or relatedfield with 8 years of experience.
