Solution Architect FreelancerAbout the RoleApplication Modernization & StabilisationWe are seeking an experienced Solution Architect (Freelance/Contract) to analyze the current environment of our client’s mobile and web applications, identify critical issues, propose architectural improvements, and lead the execution of stabilization and modernization initiatives. The architect will act as a key technical advisor, ensuring the platform is stable, scalable, and future-ready, while resolving ongoing client issues.Key ResponsibilitiesAssessment & DiagnosisPerform a detailed audit of the current application environment (Node.js, Flutter, React/Vue, Mongo DB). Identify architectural bottlenecks, stability issues, and scalability limitations.Review existing Dev Ops practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure deployments.Solution Design & RecommendationsPropose short-term fixes for critical business-impacting issues (e.g., app stability, OTP removal, pricing bugs). Design a scalable, modular architecture roadmap (microservices, containerization, Kubernetes).Recommend best practices in logging, monitoring, automated testing, and deployment.Execution & ImplementationGuide and oversee the implementation of stabilization fixes (driver app offline, OTP flow, rider-driver connectivity). Lead code restructuring, error logging, and testing framework introduction.Oversee Kubernetes deployment, CI/CD pipeline enhancement, and Dev Ops standardization.Client & Team EnablementCollaborate with client’s engineering team to ensure knowledge transfer of new practices and standards. Mentor engineers on modern Dev Ops, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and scalable coding practices.Document architecture decisions, workflows, and handover guidelines.Required Skills & ExperienceProven experience as a Solution Architect in mobile and web application modernization projects.Strong expertise in Node.js, Type Script, Flutter, React/Vue, Mongo DB, and cloud-native architectures. Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes (K8s), and CI/CD pipelines (Git Hub Actions/Git Lab).Strong background in Dev Ops, SRE practices, and system reliability engineeringExperience in stabilizing monolithic applications and guiding migrations to modular/microservice architectures. Solid understanding of logging, monitoring (Datadog/ELK), and automated testing frameworks.Strong problem-solving skills to resolve issues without introducing regressions.Excellent communication and client-facing skills.Nice to HaveExperience with Nest JS, Postgre SQL, and microservices migration (Strangler Fig pattern). Familiarity with ride-hailing, logistics, or real-time location-based apps.Prior freelance or consulting experience in application modernization projects.Engagement DetailsContract Type: Freelance / Project-basedDuration: 3–6 months (extendable based on project needs) Commitment: Part-time / Full-time (to be discussed)Location : Visakhapatnam, Remote
