We're seeking a talented and driven Azure Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll take ownership of designing, building, and optimizing robust data architectures ensuring the seamless flow and effective utilization of data within our Azure cloud environment. You'll collaborate to deliver cutting-edge solutions that unlock valuable insights, fuel decision-making and support our business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Pipeline Development:  Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks, or related              technologies. Optimize data ingestion and transformation processes to ensure efficiency and reliability.
  • Data Lake and Warehousing:  Build and maintain data lakes and data warehouses on Azure (Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL                            Database,etc.). Collaborate on defining data models, schemas, and governance standards.
  • Cloud Data Migration:  Plan and execute data migration projects from on-premises sources or other cloud platforms to Azure. Utilize your            expertise to ensure seamless data transfer, integrity, and minimal disruption.
  • Data Analysis and Visualization:  Use tools like Power BI or other visualization libraries to create insightful dashboards and reports that                empower stakeholders. Participate in exploratory data analysis to discover patterns and potential insights.
  • Cloud Architecture Proficiency:  Apply your deep understanding of Azure services (Blob Storage, Cosmos DB, etc.) to craft comprehensive            data solutions that align with performance, security, and cost-optimization goals.
  • Collaboration:  Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to translate data requirements into scalable solutions.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on data engineering experience, with a significant portion in the Azure cloud ecosystem.

Core Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark.
  • In-depth knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, or Azure Databricks.
  • Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).

Advantageous Skills:

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (Azure DevOps, Terraform, etc.)
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and Azure ML services.
  • Knowledge of data streaming technologies (Azure Stream Analytics, Kafka).

Essential Attributes:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and the ability to explain complex technical concepts.
