NSM Job Description

Key Job Responsibilities

1. P&L Responsibility

- Ownership: Manage the Profit and Loss (P&L) for both Domestic and Export (Sri Lanka & Bangladesh) sales.- Key Focus: Ensure profitability, optimize costs, and drive revenue growth across all regions.

2. Budgeting

- Annual Budgeting: Develop and roll out annual budgets, with specific sales targets for different regions.- Performance Monitoring: Regularly track sales performance against budgeted targets and make necessary adjustments.

3. Sales Strategy Development & Implementation

- Market Share Expansion: Design and implement sales strategies to grow market share.- Product Penetration: Increase product penetration in the market to enhance overall sales performance.- Profitability: Focus on strategic initiatives that align with the organization’s goals and contribute to bottom-line growth.

4. Team Management

- Sales Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and motivate a PAN India sales and customer service team.- Guidance and Development: Continuously guide the sales team to improve performance and achieve sales targets.- Recruitment: Oversee the hiring process to ensure the team is capable and high-performing.

5. Reporting

- Sales & Visit Reports: Prepare and submit periodical sales reports and forecasts to senior management.- Performance Tracking: Keep management informed about sales trends, forecasts, and key performance metrics

. Market Intelligence

- Research: Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, such as new products, services, or geographic regions.- Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitors’ activities and market trends to stay ahead in the market.

7. Customer Service Operations

- Smooth Operations: Ensure the customer service department operates efficiently to guarantee timely deliveries and swift resolution of customer complaints.- Quality Control: Establish and enforce policies for quality service to meet customer expectations.

8 Pricing Management

- Pricing Strategy: Develop and implement effective pricing strategies to ensure competitive edge and profitability.- Market Adaptation: Adjust pricing as needed based on market dynamics, competitor pricing, and cost changes.

9. Networking & Relationship Building

- Key Customer Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with key end customers such as event management companies, florists, and floral designers.- Customer Engagement: Ensure strong, productive partnerships to drive sales and loyalty.

10. Omni-Channel Strategy

- Strategic Development: Develop and implement strategies to grow key accounts served directly by the company.- Integrated Approach: Adopt an omni-channel strategy to ensure seamless customer experience and increase sales channels.

11. Marketing Strategy

- Campaign Design: Create and execute marketing campaigns focused on brand recall, new product launches, and increasing market visibility.- Brand Awareness: Work with marketing teams to strengthen brand presence in target markets.

12. Channel Management

- Distributor Management: Oversee the recruitment of new distributors in strategic locations and foster productive, professional relationships with them.- Performance Management: Guide the sales team in joint planning with distributors, setting mutual objectives, financial targets, and milestones.- Distributor Needs: Regularly assess and address distributors’ needs to ensure ongoing satisfaction and performance.- Incentives: Develop and implement schemes to motivate distributors and retailers.- Conflict Resolution: Resolve conflicts between channel partners to maintain healthy business relationships.- Accounts Receivable: Oversee accounts receivable management to ensure timely payments and minimize outstanding dues.

Key Qualifications for the Role:

1. Educational Background – Bachelor’s degree , MBA or Postgraduate Degree (Preferred):

2. Proven Sales Leadership: Minimum of 12years of experience in sales management or related roles, with at least 3-5 years in a zonal capacity overseeing domestic markets.

3.Channel Management: Experience in managing distributor networks, including appointing new distributors, overseeing relationships, and resolving conflicts within the channel.

4.Ability to work in dynamic and fast growth environments.

The person should have ability to graduate to General Manager position in few years time
