WHAT WILL YOU DO AT WHOLSUM FOODS?

Are you ready to shape the future of customer insights in a fast-paced startup environment? We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to expand our focus on building a more customer centric organization and product offering. This function will report into the Head of Customer Insights and Innovation. As the first hire for this function, you will get the opportunity to enhance the product and process based on what our biggest voice..our customers have to say and make a significant impact on our business growth.This role requires someone who is not only deeply passionate and knowledgeable about customer behaviors and market trends but also able to translate that knowledge into actionable strategies that improve customer experience and contribute to the company’s success.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a voice of consumer, shopper, and retailer.
  • Do regular presentations to Senior leadership on market trends, Category & brand performance, new product opportunities
  • Report market, stakeholder (Retailer and Shopper) insights regularly
  • Be a support to all internal stakeholders in resolving Business and brand issues.
  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive consumer insights strategy
  • aligned with overall brand and marketing goals
  • Partner with brand heads to translate brand objectives into relevant research questions
  • and methodologies and tailor insights to inform marketing campaign development and optimization
  • Lead & execute independent research charters or partner with agencies to help business
  • teams with consumer intelligence-led, data driven decision making
  • Recommend actionable insights and strategies based on consumer research findings to
  • inform brand development, marketing campaigns, and product innovation
  • Mine insights & map trends in terms of consumer attitudes, preferences, lifestyles, and
  • behavior to help sharpen consumer understanding pertaining to our brands
  • Manage & execute NPS, customer pulse surveys and immersions first-hand across different
  • customer profiles
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative consumer data to identify key trends, unmet needs,
  • and opportunities for brand growth
  • Partner closely with marketing leadership team and other internal stakeholders to help
  • launch new products, features and services
  • Track and measure the impact of consumer insights on marketing campaign performance
  • and brand metrics
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external research partners
  • Stay abreast of the latest consumer research methodologies and tools to ensure the utilization of cutting-edge approaches
  • Analyze internal and external data such as primary sales data, retail data, Consumer data, market trends to draw insights.
  • Data Segmentation, pricing analysis, trend analysis, data mining for insights.
  • Synthesize information into actionable insights, reports and presentations, Dashboards with the Data analytics team.
  • Conceptualize an analysis framework for business problems, to ensure best customer and consumer experience
  • Use online platforms such as Google survey to Conduct internal and external surveys among stakeholders, Consumers, develop simple questionnaires, analyze, and report.
  • Based on business issues identified, conceptualize a plan of action that research/ Analytics can solve.

Requirements:

  • MBA or Master's Degree in strategy, customer experience, marketing, personnel management, or a related field from a premium and reputable institute.
  • Exposure to Consumer Durable/ FMCG/ Fashion would be an advantage including market trends, consumer preferences and the competitive landscape
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate insights and recommendations clearly to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ability to create detailed customer personas and segments to inform targeted marketing strategies and product development.
  • Ability to analyze data from various sources, including surveys, focus groups, customer engagement labs, and social media, to generate actionable insights.
  • Strong proficiency in research methodologies and the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable strategies.
  • A creative thinker with an innovative approach to problem-solving, particularly in the area of customer experience design.
  • Proficiency in digital tools and emerging technologies in consumer insights to stay ahead in the market.
  • Detail-Oriented: Meticulous in ensuring the accuracy of customer personas and research findings.
  • Proactive: Takes initiative in identifying opportunities for differentiation and improvement in service delivery and customer engagement strategies.
  • Strategic Thinker: Capable of using insights to inform high-level strategic decisions and drive business growth.
  • Ability to manage research projects effectively, ensuring timely delivery within budget while maintaining accuracy in questionnaire formulation.
  • Strong focus on timelines and the ability to prioritize opportunities for optimizing customer experience based on feedback and insights.
