Section Head – Cost Strategy Apply now » Date: 8 Dec 2025 Location: Gurgaon, HR, IN, #job-location.job-location-inline { display: inline; } Company: Hero Motocorp Function Procurement Pay Band M3 to M5 Role As the Section Head – Cost Strategy you will be part of the Procurement function and will report to the DH-Cost Strategy. The purpose of your role will be to develop strategies to minimize cost and improving sourcing efficiency. The role requires expertise in cost assessment across various product categories and manufacturing technologies. This position will require to partner with buyers / sourcing engineers to facilitate optimize their procurement costs. A purpose driven role for you Your key responsibilities will include, but not limited to: 1. Cost assessment ● Development of cost models across product categories and manufacturing technologies ● Study of existing norms & practices and identify opportunity for improvements ● Evaluation and assessment of should be cost ● Cost drivers study for optimization ● Facilitate buyers for implementation 2. Cost Targets & Benchmarking ● Drive cost benchmarking to identify current model cost opportunities & support implementation ● Drive discipline around model level margin visibility & improvement ● Develop model specific cost negotiation strategy ● Initiate process of cost targets at the time of product conception ● Engage internal stake holders (CIT / Sourcing etc) as well as suppliers to firm up design based upon target cost. ● Implement and deliver targets & KPIs for the respective categories ● Identify pool of alternates who can provide innovative / competitive products 3.
