The ideal candidate will design, develop, and implement robust ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and architectures that drive the success of our data initiatives. This role involves working closely with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to ensure the efficient and secure movement of data across various platforms.Key Responsibilities:● ETL Architecture Design: Lead the design and development of scalable ETL architectures that support data integration, transformation, and loading into the Enterprise Data Warehouse.● Data Modelling: Work closely with data modelers and database administrators to develop and optimize data models and structures within the EDW environment.● ETL Development: Develop, test, and maintain ETL processes using tools like Informatica, Talend, or SSIS to ensure data is accurately and efficiently loaded into the EDW.● Data Integration: Collaborate with data engineers and other team members to integrate data from various source systems, ensuring consistency and reliability.● Performance Tuning: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize ETL processes for performance and scalability, addressing any issues related to data accuracy or latency.● Data Quality Management: Implement and oversee data quality checks and validations within ETL processes to ensure the integrity of data entering the EDW.● Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for ETL processes, data flows, and architecture to facilitate ongoing support and future development.● Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into ETL designs that meet business objectives.● Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior ETL developers and other team members, promoting best practices in ETL development and data management.● Compliance and Security: Ensure that all ETL processes comply with organizational data governance policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.Qualifications:● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.● Experience: Minimum of 9 years of experience in ETL development and architecture with a focus on Enterprise Data Warehouse solutions.Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or similar.
- Strong experience with SQL and relational databases (e.G., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
- Experience with data modelling and data warehousing concepts, including star schemas, snowflake schemas, and OLAP.
- Familiarity with big data technologies (e.G., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud-based data warehouses (e.G., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery) is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of data integration, transformation, and data governance best practices.Soft Skills:○ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.○ Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.○ Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Qualifications:● Certifications in ETL tools or data warehousing (e.G., Informatica Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate).● Experience with Agile or DevOps methodologies.● Knowledge of scripting languages (e.G., Python, Shell scripting) for automation.
