Job Description

The role of the HOD Accounts is a full time role and is based out of our Corporate Office in Gurgaon. We are seeking a bright, motivated, and dynamic professional; with a self-starter and problem solving attitude, who will work directly under the Managing Director (M.D) and the Vice-President (V.P) of the Company and ensure smart financial planning and seamless coordination across the different accounting departments of our manufacturing units, as well as with the CA of the organisation. As the accounts head, you will have to coordinate with the accounting teams at their respective manufacturing units to ensure all commitments are fulfilled in a timely and systematic manner. The responsibilities of the Company Head of Accounts Department include but are not limited to the following:


  • Checking the accounting journal entries of all the 3 manufacturing units on a daily basis. You have to ensure that GST credit has been taken in a proper manner, accounting entries are made in the correct heads, proper narration is assigned to each accounting entry etc.
  • Verify and cross check all GST related Data and file all GST related returns on a Monthly, Quarterly, Bi-Annual, and Annual basis.
  • Provide the Managing Director and the Vice President with a monthly MIS which has a product category wise detailed overview of the financial performance and expenditure of all the manufacturing units of the company.
  • Verification and timely deposit of TDS and TCS challans, along with timely filing of TDS and TCS returns.
  • Corporate and Personal Advance Tax planning of the Company as well as that of the Directors of the Company.
  • Timely filing of Property Tax and renewal of Factory Insurance.
  • Preparation of Provisional Balance Sheet of the entire company and coordination with the CA for filing of the balance sheet.
  • Stock audit of all the manufacturing units on a quarterly basis.
  • Checking, Timely Preparation and Filing of the PF and ESIC returns.
  • Inter branch reconciliation of accounts on a daily basis.
  • Salary verification of all the manufacturing units
  • Ensuring incoming transactions in the bank are being updated on Tally on a daily basis for all manufacturing units.
  • Timely filing of returns and other related documentation regarding import and export.
  • Maintenance of all other necessary governmental and statutory compliance related documentation.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Thorough knowledge of GST, Taxation Law, Financial Compliances etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi

Educational Qualifications and Other Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree (preferably B.Com/M.Com/MBA Finance) from an accredited college/university
  • Should have at least 12-15 years of prior work experience, with a minimum of 5 years of work experience in a similar role.
