About Client: Our client is a global leader in logistics-tech innovation, known for building digital platforms that connect stakeholders across airports, seaports, and the wider cargo community, driving transparency, efficiency, and real-time collaboration. Experience Required: 18+ years of core experience in Maritime, Ports, Shipping, or Ocean Logistics Domain in a business/functional consulting or business analysis capacity. Role Overview: We are seeking a seasoned maritime domain expert to lead our Maritime Practice as Business Head . This is a strategic leadership role that blends deep domain knowledge , strong business analysis acumen , and functional consulting expertise across complex global projects focused on Port Community Systems (PCS) and digital maritime transformation initiatives. The incumbent will be responsible for leading a team of Business Analysts, working closely with global clients, understanding intricate business requirements, driving business process mapping, and delivering high-impact documentation for large-scale maritime digitalization programs. Key Responsibilities: Act as the Practice Head for Maritime domain solutions and lead the strategic direction, capability building, and delivery excellence of Port Community Systems. Work as a Lead BA and strategic leadership with selective IC involvement on large-scale digital transformation programs in maritime and logistics. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather and document comprehensive business requirements using industry-standard frameworks (BRDs, SRS, Use Cases, Wireframes, Swimlane diagrams). Translate business needs into detailed functional requirements, supporting system design, configuration, and deployment phases. Liaise effectively between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on functionality, user experience, and value delivery. Drive the creation and execution of UAT/Test Plans , validate results, and support iterative releases through Agile or Hybrid delivery methodologies. Analyse release notes, document new features, train business users on updated modules, and lead change adoption initiatives post-software deployment. Engage in pre-sales activities like RFP responses , product roadmaps , and management presentations . Lead documentation efforts related to Gap Analysis , process flow modelling, and solution blueprints for maritime digital applications. Travel extensively to client locations worldwide for consulting, stakeholder management, and delivery oversight. Core Competencies: Mandatory Maritime Domain Expertise : Deep functional understanding of Port Operations, Shipping Lines, Customs, Terminal Operators, and Maritime Regulatory Frameworks. Proven expertise in Business Analysis tools and techniques including BRDs, FRDs, Use Cases, Process Modelling (BPMN), and SRS. Strong command over documentation and presentation skills with the ability to translate business problems into structured solution design artifacts. Hands-on experience in Requirement Gathering, Stakeholder Communication, Testing, Release Management , and Change Impact Analysis. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking capabilities. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project delivery cycles is preferred. Must be open to international travel for client engagements. Preferred Educational Background: B.E. / B.Tech / MCA / M.Sc. (IT) / BCA / B.Sc. (IT) or any equivalent technical/functional degree.
