Job Title: GCP DevOps Engineer (Infrastructure)


Job Description: 


We are seeking a skilled and experienced GCP Infrastructure Engineer/DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our Google Cloud Platform infrastructure while also contributing to our DevOps practices and processes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud-based systems. 


Responsibilities: 


  • Design, deploy, and manage Google Cloud Platform infrastructure components such as compute instances, storage, networking, and databases. 
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar technologies to automate build, test, and deployment processes. 
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, Google Deployment Manager, or similar tools to provision and manage cloud resources. 
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability. 
  • Collaborate with development teams to streamline development workflows, improve release cycles, and enhance overall product quality. 
  • Implement and maintain security best practices for cloud infrastructure, including identity and access management (IAM), network security, and data encryption. 
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in cloud computing, DevOps, and infrastructure automation. 


Qualifications: 


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience). 
  • 5 to 8 years of experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and technologies. 
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in DevOps roles, with a focus on infrastructure automation, CI/CD, and IaC. 
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. 
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Google Deployment Manager, or similar. 
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. 
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and load balancing. 
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment. 


Preferred Qualifications: 


  • Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect, Google Certified Professional DevOps Engineer). 
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef. 
  • Knowledge of serverless computing services like Google Cloud Functions or AWS Lambda. 
  • Experience with agile methodologies and practices. 
  • Familiarity with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
