Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Engineer to join our automotive team in Pune. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth by combining technical expertise with strong sales acumen. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions that meet their requirements, ensuring customer satisfaction and contributing to the overall success of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve targets and grow the customer base in the automotive industry.
  • Identify and engage potential clients by understanding their technical requirements and presenting appropriate products and solutions.
  • Provide technical support to customers during pre- and post-sales activities, including product demonstrations and technical clarifications.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as engineering, production, and marketing to ensure the alignment of product offerings with market demand.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to customer needs.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with customers while ensuring company profitability.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, competitor analysis, and industry trends.
  • Maintain long-term relationships with key clients and provide ongoing support to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, pipeline development, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales engineering, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of automotive components, systems, and technologies.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing customer relationships.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in selling products related to electric or hybrid vehicles.
  • Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) software.
  • Understanding of the automotive supply chain and manufacturing processes.
