Job Description:


Experience : Proven hands-on experience of a minimum of 10 years in Developing concepts and ideas for products & systems; Performing calculations and simulations to ensure designs meet performance and standards; Creating detailed designs using AutoCAD/Solid Works software, translating into technical drawings; Prototype Development; Analysing a product, equipment, or component to recreate/improve upon it by Reverse Engineering; Collaborating with cross-functional teams and clients; Generating documentation, drawings, specifications, and design reports; Identifying and resolving design issues during the development process to improve efficiency and effectiveness; Gathering crucial information by visiting sites to take dimensions of the components, understand the functioning of the equipment and assemblies, and to discuss with the customer for any modification by reverse engineering.


Role : Developing concepts for products & systems; performing simulations to ensure designs meet performance and standards; creating detailed designs using AutoCAD/Solid Works software, translating into technical drawings; Prototype development; Problem-solving, Site visits to gather information about the component and equipment, projects to improve efficiencies by reverse engineering and generating documents and drawings.

Job Responsibilities :

*Conceptualization: Developing initial concepts and ideas for products, systems, or structures based on requirements and specifications.

*Engineering Analysis: Performing calculations, simulations, and analysis to ensure designs meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards.

*CAD Modelling: Creating detailed designs using computer-aided design (AutoCAD/ Solid Works) software, translating concepts into precise technical drawings

*Prototype Development: Building and testing prototypes to validate designs and identify areas for improvement.

*Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams, including other engineers, architects, project managers, and clients, to ensure design requirements are met.

*Reverse engineering: Analysing a product, equipment, or component to understand its design, functionality, and underlying principles, often to recreate or improve upon it.

*Documentation: Generating technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and design reports, to communicate design intent and requirements.

*Problem-solving: Identifying and resolving design issues or challenges that arise during the development process.

*Continuous Improvement: Keeping abreast of new technologies, materials, and design techniques to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

*Site Visit: To gather crucial information about the project environment and existing infrastructure, to take dimensions of the components, understand the functioning of the equipment and assemblies, and to discuss with the customer their requirements and any modification needs for reverse engineering.

Desired profile & capabilities of the candidate :

Ability to develop concepts for products & systems, perform simulations, develop prototype

Working knowledge of AutoCAD/SolidWorks software, translating into technical drawings.

Proven prior experience in designing for the Metal Industry and related equipment for Steel Plants and Rolling Mills will be preferred

Candidate must be able to read Engineering Drawings and work on MS Excel/ MS Word.

Maintain Daily / Weekly / Monthly Reports and MIS.
