Our expertise lies in preparing accurate and reliable facade design solutions. We offer a range of services including concept sketches, facade design at various stages, co-ordinated facade details, system drawings, system material scheduling, and site installation drawings.

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer with specialized expertise in facade systems to join our team remotely from India. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in structural design, analysis, and the implementation of facade solutions that comply with aesthetic, technical, and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural calculations for facade components such as glass structures, curtain wall systems, brackets, and rainscreen connections using Mathcad.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments to ensure project viability and support project teams.
  • Conduct wind load calculations and structural calculations in accordance with UK BS standards, including BS EN for wind actions, BS EN 1993 for steel structures, and BS EN 1999 for aluminium structures.
  • Utilize Finite Element Analysis (FEA) FEM to simulate and predict structural behaviours under various load conditions.
  • Collaborate closely with architects and other engineers to integrate structural and architectural aspects of facade design.
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation and drawings the elements calculated.
  • Evaluate existing building facades for structural integrity and compliance with current standards as part of renovation projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in facade engineering with a focus on structural aspects of facade design.
  • Proven skills in Mathcad for performing detailed structural calculations and in FEA tools for advanced analysis.
  • Thorough understanding of UK Building Standards, particularly BS EN 1991, BS EN 1993, and BS EN 1999.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail and precision.
  • Strong English Language communication skills, capable of effective collaboration in a multidisciplinary team environment.
