About the roleOur ideal candidate has built multiple tech products on the cloud from scratch and has played a key role in their architecture over their lifecycle.They are an expert in any widely- used backend stack and have strong system design skills. They take implementation and execution decisions based on team velocity, performance and maintainability. Our ideal candidate will be able to build from day 1 and mentor their teammates.

Key responsibilitiesOwn the development and performance of serverless applicationsDesign, build, and maintain scalable and efficient backend services with Python and Node.jsDevelop and manage API endpoints, ensuring high performance and responsivenessCollaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.Ensure application security and data protection best practices.Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.

Experience required5+ years of experience as a backend developerStrong proficiency in Python and Node.jsExperience with AWS, Lambda and serverless architecture.Solid understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.Experience with cloud services, particularly AWS.Knowledge of database systems and data structures.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
