Key Responsibilities:

Teaching & Learning

  • Plan and deliver concept-driven, inquiry-based Hindi language and literature lessons that develop linguistic proficiency and cultural understanding aligned with the IB DP framework.
  • Design units of inquiry that integrate global contexts and key concepts, fostering critical thinking, communication, and intercultural understanding.
  • Use varied and differentiated instructional strategies to meet the needs of a diverse student body, including non-native speakers.

Curriculum Development

  • Collaborate on the development and continual refinement of the DP Hindi curriculum in alignment with IB standards.
  • Participate in curriculum mapping, vertical alignment, and internal standardization exercises to ensure coherence and quality.

Student Support & Engagement

  • Mentor students in Extended Essays focusing on Hindi literature, language, or cultural topics.
  • Encourage participation in language-based clubs, literary competitions, and service activities promoting linguistic and cultural sustainability.

Professional Responsibilities

  • Engage in continuous IB-recognized professional development related to language acquisition, literature teaching, and intercultural understanding.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents/guardians.
  • Actively contribute to the schools mission of developing reflective, open-minded global citizens.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master's degree in Hindi Literature, Language, or Education with specialization in language teaching.
  • Strong knowledge of the IB DP Hindi curriculum framework and assessment methodology.
  • Prior experience teaching Hindi at the DP level in IB schools is a strong advantage.
