The Australian Accounts & Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing all accounting and tax‐related functions within the organization, ensuring compliance with Australian tax laws and regulations. This role involves managing financial records, preparing and filing tax returns, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's objectives. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Financial Reporting: 

Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.  Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data to internal and external stakeholders. 

Tax Compliance: 

Stay up‐to‐date with Australian tax laws and regulations. Prepare and file tax returns, including income tax, GST, and other relevant taxes. Monitor tax obligations and deadlines, ensuring compliance and minimizing tax liabilities. 

Tax Planning and Strategy:

Develop tax efficient strategies to optimize the company's financial performance. Provide advice on tax implications for various business decisions and transactions. 

Audit Support:

Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits. Prepare documentation and support materials for auditors. 

Financial Analysis:

Analyze financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement. 
Make recommendations for costsaving measures and financial efficiencies. 

Budgeting and Forecasting: 

Collaborate with other departments to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts, and provide explanations for variances. 

Team Leadership: 

Supervise and mentor accounting and finance staff.  Ensure the team's productivity and professional development. 

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a CPA or CA certification is preferred. Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting and tax management, with a strong understanding of Australian tax laws and regulations. Excellent knowledge of accounting software and financial management systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP).  Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.  Leadership and team management skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Knowledge of international accounting standards is a plus.
