Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Production Control Department covering planning, scheduling, inventory management, customer service, and internal logistics functions.
  • Collaborate with other operations departments to ensure on-time delivery and a high level of customer satisfaction while managing working capital levels.
  • Manage and optimize inventory levels, including setting goals, rotating stock, and developing methods and procedures for effective control.
  • Establish strong communication with cross-functional teams and production departments to ensure smooth coordination and timely product delivery.
  • Minimize disruptions in production schedules through efficient procurement practices for parts and materials.
  • Assist in preparing and monitoring the operating budget for production control and related areas.
  • Provide training and development to team members to enhance current skills and prepare for future requirements.
  • Maintain and develop the network system for plant manufacturing operations to streamline information flow and generate accurate reports.
  • Develop production plans and schedules, coordinating with vendors and customers to arrange resources for achieving targets within budgeted parameters.
  • Generate and maintain MIS (Material Information System) reports.
  • Check material availability for all production lines, plan material flow, and ensure effective inventory planning & control.
  • Compile daily, weekly, and monthly management reports on overall plant performance.
  • Plan and release raw material and consumables schedules to the purchase department; coordinate to ensure timely procurement.
  • Update and maintain all PPC & store-related documents.
  • Monitor Non-Moving and Slow-Moving Items; provide monthly reports with recommendations to management.

Skill Sets Required:

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, SAP Business One, and MS Office.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Leadership and team development skills.

Languages Known:

  • Tamil, Kannada, English
