JOB DESCRIPTION FOR SALES APPLICATION ENGINEER – BANGALORE / CHENNAI

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Involved in activities like selling products & services to new & existing clients, developing business relationships with key regional customers and visiting clients to secure new business proposals

  2. Generating proactive sales, revenue & enquiry through Lead Management System

  3. Selling /delivering as wide range of company products and services to clients as possible, in order to optimize profits.

  4. Building up new business communications, preparing quotations and proposals, and striving to win contracts.

  5. Overseeing key account management for OEM's in the region

  6. Coordinating between business partners & customers and arranging training sessions.

  7. Conducting seminars & giving presentations for end-customers and to OEM's

  8. Supervising daily activities such as solving technical queries, closing order, maintaining, updating & reporting the account plan to the Managing Director.

  9. Travelling to client locations .

  10. Knowledge of basic software of Metrology products .

  11. Should be able to update customer data on in order to keep track .

  12. Should be submitting weekly/ monthly and quarterly data for all the work done and proposed work to be done .

  13. Will be responsible for the execution of the goals which are set and subsequently the profitability for the region.

  14. Will be reporting to the Director .

REQUIRED SKILLS

a. Successful previous experience as a sales representative.

b. Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences

c. Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization

d. Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close

e. Strong business sense and industry expertise

f. Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills

Qualifications –

  1. Diploma / Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering

  2. 3-4 years Experience in Technical CAPEX Sales preferable

  3. Knowledge in Metrology, Prototype and applications preferred
