Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manager Operation Theatre (OT Dept Growth, OT Readiness, OT Utilization, Surgeons Relationship Management, Stock Management, Patient Safety, OT Infection Control, Problem-Solving, Policy, Manpower Utilization & Coordination, Academics & Publication)
  • Ownership of Department Metrics, OT Volume, OT Sterility, Autoclaving of Instruments, Surgeons Satisfaction, Customer Satisfaction, Revenue, Cost Saving, New Quality Initiatives, Team Performance and Productivity, HMS Nursing Module Implementation and NABH Documentation & Compliance
  • Accountable for Smooth Day-to-day OT Activities, Surgery Schedule, OT Booking Surgeon Confirmation, Resources Readiness, Patient Care, Outcomes, Mentoring Second Line Leaders, Maintaining OT Infection Rate, Internal Quality Audit, Internal & External Conferences/ Events
  • Daily Rounds to Check OT Complex for Cleanliness, Theatre Readiness, Implants & Medicines Availability, Manpower Availability, Planned Cases, Consent Forms from Wards and Documentation
  • Daily Meeting with Nursing Head to Discuss about Patients, Cases, Escalate Clinicians and Operational Issues
  • Daily Meeting with OT Head to Discuss Statistics, Utilization Rate, Critical Case Patients Preparedness, Surgeon Delays, Resources Issues, Unplanned Cases
  • Daily Meeting with Surgeons to Address their Concerns, Follow up Action and Resolve
  • Weekly Visit to Global Campus to Assist Unit Head in Fixing Packages, Identification of Anchor Surgeons and Nursing Team in Managing OT
  • Weekly Academics Sessions to the Students and Supporting Academics Team in Introducing New Courses
  • Conduct Monthly Team Performance Review
  • Participate in Monthly Nursing Meeting, Clinical Dashboard and Mortality Committee
  • Participate in Quarterly HIC and Surgical Committee Meetings
