Job Summary

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the entire assembly process of heavy machinery that includes sheet metal fabrication, motors, gearboxes, and other electromechanical components. The role will involve overseeing project planning, coordination, execution, and delivery, ensuring all technical specifications are met, quality standards are upheld, and deadlines are adhered to. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in mechanical and electrical assemblies, as well as a proven track record of managing complex, large-scale projects in industrial machinery manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning & Coordination : Develop and implement detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies for the assembly of industrial machinery, ensuring alignment with customer specifications and deadlines.
  • Client Liaison : Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, providing regular updates on project status and ensuring that client requirements are clearly understood and met.
  • Cross-Functional Team Leadership : Lead and coordinate internal teams across engineering, production, procurement, quality control, and logistics to ensure the assembly process runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Assembly Management : Oversee the assembly of complex machinery involving sheet metal fabrication, motor and gearbox installations, and electromechanical component integration. Ensure all systems are correctly assembled and function according to specifications.
  • Quality Control & Compliance : Ensure all machinery assemblies meet the required quality standards, including compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices. Oversee testing and troubleshooting of electromechanical systems.
  • Risk & Issue Management : Proactively identify and manage potential project risks (technical, operational, or logistical) and implement corrective actions to mitigate delays or quality issues.
  • Budget & Resource Management : Manage project budgets, control costs, and allocate resources effectively. Ensure that the project remains within budget and that any necessary adjustments are communicated promptly to senior management.
  • Scheduling & Logistics : Oversee the production schedule, ensuring all materials, components, and resources are available as needed. Coordinate logistics to ensure timely delivery of machinery components and systems.
  • Documentation & Reporting : Maintain accurate records and project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and quality control checks. Provide regular project updates and status reports to senior leadership and the client.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Education : Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is preferred.
  • Experience :
  • 3-5 Years of experience managing the assembly of heavy machinery, including sheet metal fabrication, motors, gearboxes, and electromechanical systems.
  • Proven experience managing the assembly of complex industrial equipment, ideally in an OEM or custom-built machinery context.
  • Strong technical expertise in mechanical, and electromechanical assembly processes.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and managing large-scale projects with tight deadlines.
  • Skills :
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical assembly processes, including sheet metal work, gearbox integration, motor installations, and electromechanical component assembly.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, SAP, or similar tools).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to address complex technical challenges.
  • Certifications/Training :
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to manufacturing and assembly processes (e.g., ISO, CE, UL, etc.) is a plus.
