ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

GCP Administration:

· Manage and configure GCP resources, including Compute Engine instances, App Engine, Cloud Storage buckets, Cloud SQL databases, and Cloud Networking components (VPC, Cloud Load Balancing, etc.).

· Implement security best practices for GCP resources, including IAM permissions, access controls, and resource monitoring.

· Monitor GCP resource health and performance, identify potential issues, and troubleshoot problems.

· Perform backups and disaster recovery procedures for critical GCP resources.

· Stay up-to-date on the latest GCP services and features.

Terraform Scripting:

· Design, develop, and maintain Terraform scripts to automate the provisioning and management of GCP infrastructure.

· Ensure Terraform scripts adhere to best practices for IaC, including modularity, reusability, and version control.

· Integrate Terraform scripts with CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.

· Collaborate with developers and other IT professionals to define infrastructure requirements for Terraform scripts.

· Troubleshoot issues related to Terraform deployments and configuration management.

Qualifications:

· Minimum 3+ years of experience in cloud administration, preferably with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

· Proven experience managing and configuring various GCP services (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Cloud Networking etc.).

· Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.

· Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools -Terraform.

· Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash or Python for scripting automation tasks.

· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork abilities.

· Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
