agritech startup working on IoT, machine learning based risk mitigation solutions for agriculture. Using real time farm data coming from IoT device, we help farmers take on farm decisions in irrigation, sprays for disease, pests and fertigation.We are focused on horticulture crops and working on increasing production quality and quantity at a lower cost of cultivation.

Role and Responsibilities:Create high resolution weather modelsWork on various NWP models developed across world and build models based on the same.Visualize and decide which models to choose among various weather prediction modelsAnalyze real time farm weather data from fyllo devices and improve weather predictions on the sameHandling of different type of meteorological datasets like station data, global weather models data etc.Create microclimatic rainfall modelsCreate high resolution weather modelsKeep an eye on models in production and continuously update the modelsWork with software/ML teams to deploy models and create APIsPlanning for infrastructure requirements for weather modellingDevelop region specific models for climate if required.Maintain the accuracy, precision and recall of the models within decided range.

Skills Required:Knowledge of Data Visualization ToolsR statistical packages ,GeoMap and related technologies experienceKnowledge of NWP techniquesExperience on mico weather predictionExperience on rainfall predictionIndividual contributor experience in Weather researchExperience of working with ML/IT teams on weather

BangaloreQualification:M.Tech/MS./PhD in Meteorology or related science10+ years of experience ff working on Meteorology projects
