Fyllo ( is an agritech startup working on IoT, machine learning based risk mitigation solutions for agriculture. Using real time farm data coming from IoT device, we help farmers take on farm decisions in irrigation, sprays for disease, pests and fertigation.

We are focused on horticulture crops and working on increasing production quality and quantity at a lower cost of cultivation.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Create high resolution weather models
• Work on various NWP models developed across world and build models based on the same.
• Visualize and decide which models to choose among various weather prediction models
• Analyze real time farm weather data from fyllo devices and improve weather predictions on the same
• Handling of different type of meteorological datasets like station data, global weather models data etc.
• Create microclimatic rainfall models
• Create high resolution weather models
• Keep an eye on models in production and continuously update the models
• Work with software/ML teams to deploy models and create APIs
• Planning for infrastructure requirements for weather modelling
• Develop region specific models for climate if required.
• Maintain the accuracy, precision and recall of the models within decided range.

Skills Required:

• Knowledge of Data Visualization Tools
• R statistical packages ,
• GeoMap and related technologies experience
• Knowledge of NWP techniques
• Experience on mico weather prediction
• Experience on rainfall prediction
• Individual contributor experience in Weather research
• Experience of working with ML/IT teams on weather

Location: Bangalore

Qualification:

• M.Tech/MS./PhD in Meteorology or related science
• 10+ years of experience ff working on Meteorology projects
