Responsibilities

  • Study and interpret engineering drawings of RENK products (gear units, shafts, couplings, transmission parts) with attention to tolerances, finishes, and GD&T requirements.
  • Identify, select, and set up appropriate tooling and fixtures for machining.
  • Operate conventional lathe for turning, boring, threading, and facing of large precision components.
  • Conduct in-process and final measurements using precision metrology instruments (micrometers, Vernier calipers, dial gauges, height gauges).
  • Perform rework on parts by adjusting machine settings if dimensions deviate.
  • Maintain job cards, production logs, and inspection records for traceability.
  • Carry out basic preventive maintenance: lubrication, coolant checks, and alignment verification.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
  • Handle raw material, semi-finished, and finished parts; ensure proper scrap disposal.
  • Collaborate with quality and design teams for issue resolution and process improvements.

Requirements

  • ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or equivalent.
  • 2–4 years' experience in conventional lathe operation.
  • Strong ability to read complex engineering drawings with GD&T.
  • Proficiency in metrology and inspection methods.
  • Basic knowledge of machine maintenance and shop-floor safety.
  • Discipline in maintaining production and inspection documentation.

Job Types: Full-time, Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: ₹25, ₹35,000.00 per month
