Sweet Karam Coffee was born in 2015 which is India’s first online traditional food store. It is an Indian

clean label food brand offering authentic South Indian delicacies with clean ingredients not using palm

oil, preservatives or any artificial ingredients.


The mission of the brand is to take the taste and tales of South India across the globe. Drawing

inspiration from generations past, Sweet Karam Coffee aspires to craft authentic products that glorify &

revolutionize our traditional Indian delicacies for today’s consumer needs.


Down the line it became a bootstrapped Million dollar brand in 2022 and now the brand has received its

funding from big investors for the roadmap to become a 500cr brand in next 5 years. The brand has more

than 1,00,000+ customers and serves across 32 major countries.


The journey of Sweet Karam Coffee to one of the fastest growing D2C Food Brands is a testimony to zeal

towards offering products with a purpose and taking the South Indian cultural and culinary experience to

the globe and has empowered an ecosystem of women and farmers who are involved in the

manufacturing of these products.

PROFILE OVERVIEW

This role involves overseeing all human resource functions and managing a team of 50-60 employees. The HR Manager will be responsible for implementing HR strategies that support the company's business objectives, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

HR Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Collaborate with senior management to forecast staffing needs and develop workforce plans.

Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Oversee the recruitment process, including job posting, candidate screening, interviewing, and selection.
  • Manage the onboarding process to ensure new hires are integrated smoothly into the company.

Employee Relations:

  • Foster a positive work environment and culture through effective communication and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Address employee concerns, grievances, and conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
  • Implement programs to enhance employee morale and retention.

Performance Management:

  • Develop and implement performance management systems to evaluate employee performance and productivity.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and development plans to employees to enhance their performance.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and manage the appraisal process.

Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs and develop training programs to enhance employee skills and career development.
  • Organize and coordinate training sessions, workshops, and seminars.

HR Metrics and Reporting:

  • Track and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present HR reports to senior management.

Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in human resources, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial role within the FMCG sector.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations.
  • Proven experience in recruitment, performance management, employee relations, and training and development.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
