Job Description

Key Responsibilities::::

  • Develop and maintain an IBM DB2 for z/OS estate which has the following characteristics: -
  • Provides high availability (24x7)
  • Provides advanced functionality to permit the business to become a leader in new markets.
  • Perform all functions which are performed by a DB2 System Programmer (Senior), such as: - DB2 Installation, Migration, and PTF Installation with SMP/E
  • Create, manage and support DB2 Stored Procedures
  • Create and maintain DB2 structures in Coupling Facility
  • Maintain the DB2 Catalog/Directory (Analysis, Backup, Recover, Reorg, etc)
  • Performance Monitoring and Tuning DB2 at a subsystem level
  • Plan, analyze and implement DB2 Disaster Recovery procedures, practices and jobs
  •  Create Change Requests, Resolve Service Requests, and Provide 24x7 Oncall support.
  • Make technical decisions on project or program direction
  •  Track and analyze technology trends
  • Track and analyze performance trends
  • Provide budgetary input on software, technical projects, training and programs
  • Develop and manage schedules for major system software implementation projects
  •  Trace and Dump capture and analysis.
