Director of Business Development

Position Summary: One of our client is seeking an experienced Business Development Director to drive revenue growth for their Product Engineering Services by targeting Global Capability Centers (GCCs) in India. This role will involve identifying, developing, and nurturing relationships with key decision-makers in GCCs to expand their footprint in the market. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in IT services sales, with a focus on product engineering and an in-depth understanding of the GCC landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Analysis and Strategy Development:
Conduct market research to identify target GCCs and understand their business needs in product engineering.
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to capture market opportunities and achieve revenue targets.
Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
Identify and establish relationships with key stakeholders, including CTOs, product managers, and decision-makers within GCCs.
Drive the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation to closing deals, with a focus on long-term client relationships.
Engage in consultative selling to understand client needs and position our product engineering services as the solution.
Solution Design and Proposal Development:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design custom product engineering solutions that align with client requirements.
Prepare and present high-quality proposals, RFP responses, and presentations tailored to each GCC’s specific needs.
Negotiate contract terms and agreements to secure profitable deals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Coordination:
Work closely with product engineering and delivery teams to ensure smooth transition from sales to service delivery.
Collaborate with marketing to develop targeted campaigns and content for the GCC audience.
Performance Tracking and Reporting:
Track and report on sales metrics, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts.
Continuously improve the sales process based on performance data, market feedback, and trends.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience: Minimum 8-12 years of experience in business development or sales in IT services, with a focus on product engineering or digital engineering.
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the GCC landscape in India, including industry trends, key players, and challenges.
Sales Skills: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, with strong negotiation and consultative selling skills.
Technical Understanding: Familiarity with product engineering, digital transformation, cloud, DevOps, AI/ML, and other relevant technologies.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence C-level executives.
Education: Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field; MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.
Travel: Willingness to travel domestically as needed.
