Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage taxation and statutory compliance activities. The role requires strong knowledge in TDS, Income Tax filings, GST returns, and overall financial compliance. The candidate will ensure accurate record-keeping, timely filing of statutory returns, and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • TDS (Tax Deducted at Source):
  • Calculation, deduction, and deposit of TDS as per applicable provisions.
  • Preparation and filing of quarterly TDS returns (Form 24Q, 26Q, etc.).
  • Issuance of TDS certificates (Form 16/16A).
  • Handling TDS-related reconciliations and compliance notices.
  • Income Tax:
  • Assist in preparation and filing of Income Tax Returns (ITR) for individuals, firms, and companies.
  • Support in advance tax calculations and payment.
  • Maintain compliance with changing direct tax regulations.
  • Coordinate for tax audits and assessments.
  • GST:
  • Preparation and filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.).
  • Reconciliation of GST input credit and output liability.
  • Assist in GST audits, refund claims, and notices.
  • Stay updated with GST amendments and apply them in compliance.
  • General Accounting & Compliance:
  • Maintain accurate books of accounts and ledgers.
  • Ensure proper documentation for all statutory filings.
  • Liaise with auditors, consultants, and government authorities when required.
  • Assist in financial statements preparation related to tax provisions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com / M.Com / CA / CA Inter).
  • Proven experience in TDS, IT return filing, and GST compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and statutory regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, Zoho, QuickBooks, or similar) and MS Excel.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with tax portals like GST and Income Tax e-filing portal.
  • Knowledge of ROC and other statutory compliances (added advantage).
