Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to ensure the smooth operation of our automotive manufacturing equipment and facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems to minimize downtime and enhance production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preventive Maintenance: Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans to ensure the optimal performance of machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement timely repairs to minimize production downtime.
  • Equipment Calibration: Conduct regular calibration and performance checks on machines to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
  • Spare Parts Management: Monitor inventory of spare parts and liaise with procurement for timely ordering to ensure minimal disruption in production.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repair work, and equipment inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify opportunities for equipment and process improvements.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in maintenance engineering, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems; familiarity with PLCs and CNC machinery is a plus.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing equipment issues.
  • Communication: Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma principles.
  • Knowledge of automotive industry standards and regulations.
  • Experience with maintenance management software (e.g., CMMS).
