Senior/ Staff Performance

The Role Job Overview: ARM is looking for a Senior/Staff Engineer for the exciting role of power and performance post si validation and analysis. As part of an expert engineering group with very hardworking engineers, you will help characterize & profile performance for upcoming ARM IP's and SOC & supply to defining product specifications. Our team is responsible for validating and analysing power and performance of the IP's and SoC & Architecture improvement studies on silicon. Responsibilities: Post silicon Power and performance Validation across PVTF (process, voltage, temp, Frequency) Validation, analysis, characterization, optimization Responsible for System Performance, Power and Thermal Analysis of SOC. Perform Pre-Si and Post-Si Power performance correlation, debug and analysis Key eye for details and numbers, Isolate failures to be SW or HW related Develop and implement validation plans to validate performance, power, and stability, to identify and fix design issues to improve the overall product quality Responsible for analysing any performance degradation, debug the cause & propose optimization solutions Zero down on performance bottlenecks and propose solutions Co-work with members across the globe & chips in to technical discussions & status updates Required Skills and Experience : 6-10 Yrs of experience Good knowledge of HW performance counters, HW/ASIC and functional validation, SW flow, able to read and understand Schematic documents Understand power, frequency, voltage & temperature logs and make decisions on why performance results are met or not met (performance profiling) Experience in handling equipment's NI-DAQ power measurement adapters & Thermal chillers Experience in using debugging tools like Lauterbach/Trace32 “Nice To Have” Skills and Experience : Familiarity with hardware acceleration platforms like Emulation and FPGA Experience in LINUX & Android OS. Awareness of CPU architecture features (such as caches, MMU, SMP, coherency, CPU pipelines) Knowledge of standard protocols Ex: AHB, AXI, APB, I2C/I3C/SMBUS, UART, SPI, JTAG.
