Job Summary:
As a Product Manager for Atlassian Marketplace Apps, you will drive the vision, development, and success of our apps. You will be responsible for understanding the needs of the Atlassian ecosystem, identifying new opportunities, and working with cross-functional teams to deliver value-adding products that enhance the capabilities of Jira, Confluence, and other Atlassian tools.
You will ensure that each product meets customer expectations while maintaining high standards of quality and functionality in line with Atlassian best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy and Vision:
Develop and execute the product strategy for Atlassian Marketplace apps.
Conduct market research and gather feedback from customers and internal stakeholders to inform product decisions.
Define the product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on customer needs, business goals, and market opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with engineering, design, and marketing teams to deliver apps that meet user needs and stand out in the marketplace.
Engage with sales and support teams to ensure they understand the product features, benefits, and value propositions.
Product Development and Management:
Oversee the end-to-end product development process, from ideation to launch.
Ensure apps are designed with Atlassian best practices, with a focus on usability, scalability, and security.
Track and analyze product performance to drive continuous improvements.
Customer and Market Insights:
Actively engage with customers to understand their workflows, pain points, and feature requests.
Monitor the competitive landscape and stay informed about trends and best practices within the Atlassian ecosystem.
Feedback and Improvement:
Continuously gather feedback from users and stakeholders to iterate and improve the apps.
Ensure apps are updated regularly to support new Atlassian releases, maintain compatibility, and add new features.
Documentation and Support:
Create detailed product documentation, including user guides, release notes, and FAQs.
Work with customer support to ensure they are equipped to handle user inquiries effectively.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in product management, ideally within the Atlassian ecosystem or software marketplace.
Strong understanding of Jira, Confluence, and other Atlassian products, with the ability to apply best practices to app development.
Experience managing full product lifecycles from concept to launch.
Ability to gather and analyze customer feedback, market trends, and performance data to inform product decisions.
Strong communication skills, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering and marketing.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment.
Atlassian certifications or significant experience working with Atlassian tools is highly desirable.
