Summary:

The Supply Chain Data Scientist with AI Expertise is a critical role focused on leveraging advanced analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence (AI) to optimize supply chain operations and drive data-driven decision-making. This individual will be responsible for developing and deploying AI models, analyzing large-scale supply chain datasets, and generating actionable insights to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Modeling:

  • Analyze large-scale supply chain datasets, identifying patterns, trends, and anomalies.
  • Develop and deploy AI models, such as demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and route optimization models, to improve supply chain efficiency and decision-making.
  • Validate and refine AI models to ensure accuracy, reliability, and robustness.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to design and implement data pipelines for seamless data ingestion and transformation.

Insight Generation and Communication:

  • Translate complex data analysis and AI model outputs into actionable insights for supply chain stakeholders.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Develop visualizations and dashboards to effectively communicate supply chain performance and insights.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making in supply chain operations.

Research and Development:

  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and data analytics relevant to supply chain optimization.
  • Research and experiment with new techniques and methodologies to enhance the COE's capabilities.
  • Collaborate with academia and industry partners to stay at the forefront of supply chain AI innovation

Qualifications:

Education: Master's degree or Ph.D. in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science) with a focus on AI/ML. Experience :

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in applying AI and machine learning to real-world problems, preferably in the supply chain domain
  • Proven track record of developing and deploying AI models that have delivered measurable business value.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, R, or other relevant programming languages for data analysis and machine learning.
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies. Familiarity with supply chain processes, challenges, and key performance indicators.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a passion for using data and AI to drive supply chain optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, deep learning).
  • Experience with AI frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with supply chain optimization software and tools.
  • Contributions to open-source AI projects or publications in relevant conferences/journals.
