We are looking for Platform Manager

Asa Platform Manager, you are responsible for one of the metro train platforms.You act as the primary contact between the sales departments and theengineering team for the platform solutions in your scope. As such, yourepresent the “Voice of the Customer” towards the development team, and you areresponsible for the management, application and further development of productsolutions which form part of the metro train platform.

You’ll make a difference by

Work closely with the sales departments toelicit continuously the customers’ needs and translate their inputs intorequirements. Observe and analyze relevant competitors'products and solutions, as well as future trends and innovations. Decide whether specific customer requirementswill be included in overall platform concept or not. Create and maintain the feature &portfolio list, add new features as backlog items, evaluate their respectivecustomer value and prioritize them. Work closely with the engineering teams inIndia and Austria to clearly communicate the customer needs and relatedrequirements and provide guidance and direction to the team. Manage and synchronizes the cross functionalteam (consisting of engineering teams in India and Austria, as well as internaland external suppliers) to realize the further development of the platform andassociated technical solutions. Update and maintain the platform concepts andimplement changes (incl. design to cost activities). Monitor platform development costs andplatform costs. Manage the application of platform solutionsin bids and projects.

Desired Skills:

At least 10 years of experience in the railway industry, including leading technical positions along. At least 2 years professional experience in product development Experience in Agile methodologies (optional) Self-motivated, driven, reliable and able to work independently as well as in a team. Passionate about working on complex problems. Strategic mindset with a strong focus on standardization Excellent communication skills Excellent intercultural skills Ability to lead cross-functional teams. Ability to prioritize effectively.
